About Professional Researcher

This website

This website was launched Monday 1st March 2000, following a spectacularly successful trial hosted on Freeserve, the UK's number 1 Internet Service Provider. We recommend Freeserve to anyone wishing to pilot a website in the UK, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their support during our early stages of development.

That initial trial was supposed to be for 12 months, with the possibility of considering an earlier move to a more permanent presence after 6 months. As the trial was so successful, we made the decision to register our own domain after 4 months and completed the move - with a total re-write of every page - after 6 months.

What are our ideals, motives and methodologies?
How is Professional Researcher organised - where is the office?
What are we aiming for, what would we like to achieve?
Are we recruiting, who should apply and how?
